Leonard F. Byler

Leonard F. Byler, 81 yrs. of Morgantown, died on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at his home, following an illness.

He was born in Lancaster, Pa on Thursday, February 22, 1945, as the son of the late Christ and Margaret (Fallon) Byler.  Leonard was the husband of Patricia A. (Hagen) Byler, with whom he shared just short of 58 years of marriage.

He was a truck driver for many years.  Working for H. M. Stauffer and Deihm’s Disposal.  Leonard loved fishing and boating at the Indian River Inlet in Delaware.  He was Phillies baseball fan too.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Kelly Gaughan of Morgantown, four brothers, Chris Byler of Lancaster Co., John Byler of Arkansas, Sam Byler of New Providence, and Dave Byler of Lampeter, two sisters, Anna Byler of Willow Street and Sarah Perez of Arizona, a granddaughter, Kristi Mowrer and two great granddaughters, Emmy and Sutton.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 2 PM from The Caernarvon Fire Company of Churchtown, 2145 Main Street, Narvon, Pa. with his brother-in-law, Pastor Donald L. Hagen officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 1 PM.    Interment will be private at the convenience of the family
