Matthew W. Swope, 85 years of Honey Brook, formerly of Sellersville, died on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Meadows Healthcare Center at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, following an illness.
He was born in Vallejo, California on Thursday, September 12, 1940. Matthew was the son of the late Romic Henry and Virginia Mildred (Boyce) Swope. He was the husband of Andrea O. (Olafson) Swope, with whom she would celebrate 64 years of marriage in a few days.
Matthew was a peacetime US Army veteran. He was a graduate with a Master of Divinity from Biblical School of Theology, formerly in Hatfield. After moving to Tel Hai, Matthew enjoyed a game of billiards with friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Amber Renee Swope and her husband, John Berry of Portland, Oregon and a sister, Rita Sheppard of Salisbury, MD.
