Robert "Bob" Paul Davis passed away peacefully on August 11th, 2026, reunited with his wife of 68 years, Josephine (Greenly) Davis, who passed away in April 2026. Together, Bob and Josie built a life defined by partnership, adventure, deep devotion to their family, and a shared love for the outdoors.
Bob proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Following his military service, he dedicated 36 years to Pepperidge Farm, serving as Manager of the Maintenance Department before retiring in April 1996. Never one to stay idle, he continued sharing his talents for many years as a dedicated volunteer with the Tel Hai Maintenance Department.
A master craftsman with an extraordinary gift for carpentry and electrical work, Bob put his heart and hands into building the family home, as well as homes for his children and extended family. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he built numerous decks and home renovations for members of both the Davis and Greenly families over the years.
Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his three children: Wendy (Davis) Yost, Michael Davis (Denise), and Gary Davis (Nikki); his three grandchildren, Sam Yost (Christy), Jordan Davis (Alex), and Jessie Davis; and his great-grandson, Aiden Yost. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Price (Joey) and Carole Turner; his Greenly in-laws, Judy Greenly, John Greenly, Jack Greenly, and Joanne Howe (Mick); many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, “Jo”, Bob was preceded in death by his parents; S. Penrose Davis, and Jane W McKeon, his son-in-law, Don Yost; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Greenly and Jim Greenly and his sister-in-law Deb Greenly. His cherished dog, Missy, will also rest alongside him and Josie in their final resting place.
Bob lived a full and vibrant life alongside Josie. Active members of the square-dancing community for 35 years, they traveled the country together and even served on the National Square Dance Convention Committee. Bob embraced the outdoors and a wide variety of hobbies. He loved model railroad trains, camping, and fishing, with one of his fondest memories being a special fly-in fishing trip to Canada. Among his favorite pastimes were cheering on the Phillies over the years.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Tel Hai and Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
