Arthur F. Middleton, 95 years of age, of Honey Brook, PA formerly, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Reading Hospital, following an illness.
Arthur was born on Thursday, May 14, 1931, in Phillipsburg, PA and was the son of the late Francis and Alice Middleton. He was the loving husband of Twila Rhea Mary (Wolf) Middleton, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.
Arthur was a graduate of Gannon College where he played on their basketball team and Temple University where he obtained his Masters in Education. Arthur worked for 20 years for the Town of Dartmouth as the assistant superintendent before taking on the role of superintendent in1990. He retired from this role at age 65 in 1996. Arthur was a US Army Veteran who played for the army's traveling basketball team of which he took great pride. Arthur loved traveling with his wife, Twila, spending time with his family, woodcarving, listening to music, and being outdoors, especially by the ocean.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Middleton and a sister, Mary Husted.
Arthur is survived in addition to his wife, by a son, Douglas Middleton, two daughters, Christina Middleton and Melissa McHugh, two stepsons, Allen Seiple and Robert Seiple and a stepdaughter, Susan Lee. There are 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 1 PM from the Chapel of the Tel Hai Retirement Community, 3100 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, Pa., with Chaplain Dave Klingensmith officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1 PM at the chapel. Interment will be held at the Salem Stone Church Cemetery in Carlisle, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Arthur to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund, PO Box 190, Honey Brook, Pa. 19344-0190 .
