Mary Lou Strausser, 79 years of Birdsboro, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Reading Hospital, following an illness.
She was born in Stevens, Pa. on Friday, May 23, 1947. Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Alvin and Erla (Weinhold) Henly. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Strausser, who died on December 23, 2025.
Mary Lou was an assembly line person at the former Graco Company in Elverson and worked at the deli section at Morgantown Walmart. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her son, Richard Jason Strausser.
Surviving family members include a son, Robert V. and his wife Amy Strausser of Birdsboro and a sister Geraldine Hurst. There are 2 grandchildren, Hannah K. Strausser and Luke R. Strausser.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11 AM at the The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Avenue, Honey Brook, Pa. with Pastor DJ Glick officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Mohler’s Church Cemetery.
