Dawn Marie Cone, 84, East Earl, PA, moved to her heavenly home, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, following an illness. Dawn was an avid gardener and a generous, thoughtful hostess who never let those she knew go hungry. Known for her caring ways, she created extravagant holiday events providing fun and food for family and friends. She especially loved celebrating our country’s independence and her Savior’s birth!
Dawn cultivated her friendships and faith by serving on mission trips to Peru and Mexico, bussing kids to AWANA, and teaching Sunday School & Bible School. She enjoyed planning adventures with her grandkids both locally and overseas and trips to the shore and other outings with friends.
Born November 6, 1941, in Honey Brook, Dawn was the eldest daughter of Russell and Kathryn (Zimmerman) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dottie Spece and DeeDee Stoudt, and brother, Raymond Thompson.
Dawn is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Cone, with whom she would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on December 16. Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle (Paul) Bias, Mohnton and Shari (Bob) Hughes, Palm Harbor FL, son, Jeff (Becky) Cone, New Holland, 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, brother, Russell “Bud” (Kathy) Thompson, Ephrata, and her devoted sister, Dori (Bill) Stillman, Exeter.
A private interment will occur Friday, September 11, 2026, 2pm, Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery with Bob Trout, Pastor and Missionary officiating. A celebration of life service will follow at 3pm, Calvary Chapel, 767 Todd Road, Honey Brook. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Dawn to the service and the time of fellowship immediately following.
