Ruth  Mae Jackson Ruth Mae Jackson, 90 yrs., of New Holland, formerly of Honey Brook, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital, due to complications from a fall at home.  

She was born in Honey Brook on June 27, 1926.  Ruth was the daughter of the late Charles and Ladora  (Supplee) Miles.  She was the wife of the late Nelson Jackson, who died on December 4, 1996.

Ruth was a former telephone operator and also worked at Sperry-New Holland. She was a member of Bridgeville EC Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Honey Brook American Legion Wawassan Post # 422 for 70 years. Ruth enjoyed knitting and visiting family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Miles.

Ruth is survived by five daughters, Andree Leeper, Patricia Jackson, Nelsa Benedict, Rev. Narda Druckenmiller, and Fay Bressler, and a sister, Josephine Dental.   There are also 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11 AM from the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
