This from my father, Harold Schupsky, who is living at Fellowship Manor nursing home in Allentown. He was very distraught when I told him that Joe lost his battle with cancer. He took a few moments and asked a few questions. After a bit he recalls the following. Says Dad: " I remember when we lived in Yardley (1962-1966) and one summer Joey came to stay with us for a while. We were in the back yard at night and I pointed up to the North star in the sky. I asked him how big did he think that star was? Joey said he thought he could hold it in his hands. I explained how the star was really another sun like ours - huge. Joey was amazed." Debbie, Joe can take hold of that star now.

I went thru High School and graduated with "Joey". I will always remember his fun personality with a hint of shyness. We have many good times in the OJR class of 1972, including gathering and parking our Hot Rods at the family owned business, "The Treat" in Pottstown for chit cat and Car Talk. Joey will be fondly remembered and I send my sympathies to his entire family and friends.

We are saddened by the loss of Joey. He was a dear and long time friend. He built a baby crib for my first born a picnic table when we moved into our home. He was our best man at our wedding. He was a very kind and generous friend. We visited him a week before his passing and he still had Joeys old sense of humor. We must have just missed you. We are so sorry for your loss, as well as ours. Our condolences to you and your family.

Dear Debbie, I only knew Joe for a very short time but I will carry his memory in my heart as I work with other individuals struggling with similar challenges. His sense of humor and determination helped me to help him. I have had you all in my thoughts this last week, hoping he was able to enjoy the 4th of July backyard birthday BBQ we talked about. I will be thinking of you and your family on Friday, my deepest condolences Debbie. Fondly, Brydee Farmer
