William D. “Bill” Oatman, Sr., 86, of Honey Brook, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Reading Hospital, following an illness.
Bill was born in Elverson, on Sunday, May 3, 1936. He was the son of the late Charles Lester Oatman, Sr. and Peral (Smith) Oatman. Bill was the wife of Marlene A. (Sensenich) Oatman.
He was a steel worker for 41 years at the former Lukes Steel Mill in Coatesville. Bill also lived and worked his land on the Oatman family farm. He also was a part time Amish taxi driver after his retirement. Bill was a member of the Honey Brook United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, William D. Oatman, Jr., a brother Charles L. “Charlie” Oatman, Jr. and two sisters, Nancy Simpson and Joyce Peters
Bill is survived by two daughters, Jenette Sparr and Julie Boughter and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
